Painter Foreman

1. Foreman Specific Requirements
2. Leads and supervises a team of up to 15 Painters, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
3. Enforces site safety rules and collaborates with ES&H Safety Coordinators.
4. Maintains discipline and ensures compliance with jobsite work rules within the crew.
5. Tracks and reports work performed accurately.
6. Conducts coatings quality control tasks, including DFT measurement, chloride contamination assessment, environmental condition monitoring, and holiday detection.
7. Possesses skills and knowledge to identify various coatings and determine appropriate repair methods and procedures.
8. Foreman must meet the qualifications of a Journey Painter:
9. Performs industrial coatings tasks involving surface preparation, mixing, and application in operational industrial settings.
10. Proficient in power tool cleaning, hand sanding, and solvent cleaning for safety and efficiency.
11. Handles, measures, and mixes industrial coatings, utilizing a half face respirator for protection.
12. Experienced in various coating application methods such as brush & roll, airless spray, and conventional spray.
13. Operates, cleans, and maintains painting equipment, ensuring safe and effective usage.
14. Safely handles, stores, and labels materials to prevent accidents and maintain organization.
15. Performs coatings work on both ground-level and elevated areas, requiring fall protection equipment and access scaffolding.
16. Familiar with design documents and isometric piping drawings for accurate application.
17. Knowledgeable about coatings inspection equipment including wet film thickness gauges, DFT gauges, and environmental condition monitors for quality control.
18. Must be punctual and maintain a dependable level of attendance in accordance to project work rules.
19. Adheres to all safety procedures.
