About The Team:
This role will be a critical part of the Product Compliance team within UKG Legal. Product Compliance provides advice and support for the Product, Engineering and other business lines of the UKG organization, which includes support in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), AI-enablement, Managed Services including Payroll & Tax Services, Data Governance, M&A and beyond.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Paralegal to support the Product Compliance function and other functions within UKG’s Legal Department. The ideal candidate should have paralegal or similar legal operations experience, preferably supporting regulatory, compliance, or product-facing legal work in a technology, SaaS, payroll, fintech, benefits, insurance, or other regulated business environment. This person should be comfortable working independently, managing details, collaborating across teams, and using AI-enabled tools responsibly and effectively.
This role will support compliance work related to UKG’s regulated services, including payroll services, benefits brokerage, and insurance agency operations. In addition, the role may assist with other projects across Legal’s Compliance Team, including employment, litigation, privacy, and related compliance matters
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Assist attorneys on compliance matters related to UKG products and services.
- Support the team’s use of AI-enabled legal, workflow, and knowledge-management tools, including identifying and implementing opportunities for responsible automation.
- Help maintain regulatory filings, licensing materials, reporting calendars, audit records, compliance certifications, and related documentation.
- Conduct legal and regulatory research, summarize findings, track regulatory developments, and maintain internal trackers and issue logs.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and other business teams to gather information, track action items, and support timely completion of compliance deliverables.
- Help maintain internal policies, procedures, playbooks, templates, knowledge repositories, and other Legal Department resources.
- Support other Legal Compliance Team projects as needed, including employment, litigation, privacy and related compliance matters.
- Take ownership of recurring processes or defined workstreams under attorney supervision.
About You:
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a paralegal, legal operations professional, compliance analyst, or similar role supporting legal, regulatory, or compliance matters.
- Strong AI literacy and technology skills with the ability and desire to learn new AI-enabled legal and compliance tools.
- Experience reviewing outputs critically, protecting confidential information, and supporting responsible AI-enabled workflows.
- Ability to conduct legal or regulatory research, summarize requirements, track developments, and maintain organized records.
- Strong attention to detail, judgment, organization, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the legal department of a software, SaaS, technology, fintech, payroll, HR technology, benefits, insurance, or other regulated product company.
- Experience supporting product-facing legal teams or working with Product, Engineering, Security, Privacy, Compliance Operations, or other business teams.
- Familiarity with regulatory tracking, licensing, government reporting, audits, policy management, or compliance program documentation.
- Experience with legal technology, matter management systems, contract or policy repositories, regulatory intelligence tools, or AI-enabled research and workflow tools.
- Interest in emerging technology, agentic AI tools, legal operations, knowledge management, and process improvement.
- Ability to identify process gaps, suggest practical improvements, and help build repeatable workflows.

The pay range for this position is $34.57 to $49.68. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and work location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus plan and to receive restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.
