About this role
JOB TITLE: Parking Office Student Assistant
LOCATION: St. Paul Campus
Pay Rate: $16.50/hour
Job Summary:
- Offer exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, guests, vendors, and contractors
- Monitor and respond to parking emails, phone calls, and walk-ins to the office
- Answer questions regarding parking on-campus, bike transportation and storage, metrobus options, and alternative modes of transportation to campus
- Utilize parking platforms to create coupon codes and vouchers for guest parking from departments
- Sell metro bus passes, parking permits, and parking contracts
- Utliize spreadsheets and emails to manage day-to-day information surrounding parking operations
- Create and post signs for parking operations and parking events
- Familiarize themselves with pay stations and the basics of resetting and maintaining equipment including paper refills
- Occassionally provide parking support for events
- Other duties that are assigned as needed revolving around parking

- Excellent Customer Service Skills or willingness to learn
- A great attitude towards helping others
- Ability to want to learn new processes
- Communication Skills - both written in email, verbal via phone, and also in-person
- Skills in Microsoft Excel and willing to learn parking platforms
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for student employment, St. Thomas students must be degree seeking at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
