Playa Bowls is New Jersey's Original Acai Shop, founded in 2014, and our mission is to bring superfruit bowls to the masses using only the freshest, highest quality ingredients while providing a fantastic in-store brand experience. What began as a pair of blenders, a patio table, and a fridge has flourished into a 300+ unit operator and franchisor of the leading fast casual restaurant concept. Playa Bowls added more than 70+ locations in 2024 and are on target to add as many 90 new locations in 2025. WHO YOU ARE

You’re a positive, enthusiastic, and people-oriented individual with a passion for superfoods, healthy living, and (of course) fruit! As a Team Member at Playa Bowls, you’ll play a key role in creating an exceptional guest experience — from helping new customers discover their perfect superfruit blend to crafting high-quality bowls with care and creativity. You take pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming environment while upholding food quality and company standards. What you’ll do

● Transport, assemble, and position outdoor event equipment, including tents,

tables, chairs, and trash stations. Tear down equipment post-event efficiently.

● Assist with event food station preparation while maintaining strict food safety

standards.

● Greet guests warmly, answer basic menu questions regarding dietary restrictions,

and maintain clean areas by cleaning continuously throughout the event.

● Monitor outdoor elements (wind, heat, light, rain) to keep food covered and at

proper temperature. Ensure proper disposal of trash and compost per venue

guidelines.

● Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to take and process customer orders

● Represent and embody the Playa Bowls mission, purpose, and core values in

every interaction

What you’ll bring:

● Committed to delivering exceptional customer service by providing friendly,

attentive service and ensuring satisfaction with every guest interaction.

● Proven ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, quickly

adjusting to changing priorities and customers’ needs to maintain seamless

operations.

● Collaborate effectively with the team, fostering a positive and productive work

environment

● Skilled at prioritizing tasks to meet customer demands during peak hours

● Ability to handle customer concerns or operational challenges with assistance

from management calmly and effectively

● Ensuring accurate orders and maintaining food presentation standards

Requirements & Qualifications:

● Prior experience in catering, restaurant hospitality, or event production preferred.

● Ability to stand and walk for 5- 8 hours, lift up to 20 lbs comfortably, and work

outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, sun, light rain).

● Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the event

calendar.

● Reliable personal transportation to reach diverse outdoor venues, parks, and

private estates.

● Ability to multitask frequently to access the Point-of-Sale cash register and

assemble guest orders.
