Payroll and Accounts Payable Clerk

SanStone Health & Rehabilitation provides healthcare and rehabilitation services, and Hendersonville Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Payroll and Accounts Payable Clerk. The role manages bi-weekly payroll, payroll records, invoices, accounts payable processing, employee orientations, new-hire documentation, personnel files, and employment verification requests.

What you'll do:

• Create, maintain, and update bi-weekly payroll data in the payroll system, include both hourly, salary, and incentive bonus programs
• Record changes affecting wages, which may include, taxes, direct deposits, wage increases
• Review payroll registers and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll
• Provide weekly payroll data entry within set timelines
• Reconcile, code, enter invoices and upload into accounting system for payment
• Contacts suppliers, buyers, and employees for questionable items on invoices
• Performs basic AP Analysis with knowledge of policies and procedures such as researching invoices by contacting vendors and/or buyers and receiving
• Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees, helping with the understanding of company benefits, payroll processes, and company policies based on employee handbook
• Ensure all new hire paperwork and background checks are completed within state guidelines
• Assemble, audit, and maintain new hire personnel files for all active projects
• Respond to verification of employment requests with 48 hour
