About this role

Nemours Children’s Health, Delaware, based in Wilmington, is seeking a dynamic and compassionate physician to join our growing Neuro-Oncology Program within the Lisa Dean Moseley Foundation Institute for Cancer and Blood Disorders. This is an exciting opportunity to help expand a high-impact program and provide care to patients within a busy, high-volume pediatric setting.

At Nemours, being a pediatric neuro-oncologist means more than delivering excellent clinical care – it means forming meaningful, longitudinal relationships with patients and families as they navigate some of the most complex diagnoses in medicine. Our physicians are deeply committed to a family-centered care model, working collaboratively across disciplines to support not only medical outcomes, but also the emotional and developmental needs of each child. This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting difference through compassionate care, innovation, and advocacy.

The Moseley Foundation Institute currently includes fifteen physicians, fourteen advanced practice providers and 3 fellows. Our specialty programs include a comprehensive sickle-cell clinic funded by a NIGMS Center of Biomedical Research Excellence grant, a federally funded Comprehensive Hemophilia Treatment Center, a Transplant and Cellular Therapies program including participation in the STAR alliance for sickle cell disease, a neuro-oncology program, adolescent and young adult (AYA) oncology program and a long-term survivorship program. We are very active participants in Children’s Oncology Group (COG) studies and funded as an NCI-Community Oncology Research Program. This is an exciting opportunity to join a program that is rapidly growing and expanding across all missions – clinical, research and education.

The successful candidate will be Board Certified in pediatric hematology/oncology with training or experience in neuro-oncology.  The candidate must be eligible for unrestricted Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey Medical and DEA Licenses.

Step into a busy practice in one of the Northeast’s most desirable communities! Located in the Northeast corridor, Wilmington provides limitless cultural and professional opportunities given its easy access and proximity to major metropolitan areas while being nestled in the bucolic Brandywine Valley.  As the center of commerce and culture in Delaware, Wilmington combines the amenities and excitement of big-city living with the peace and charm of a small town.

Nemours Children’s Health (NCH) has grown to become one of the nation’s largest integrated pediatric health systems, providing hospital and clinic-based specialty care, primary care, prevention and health information services and research and medical education programs aimed at improving the lives of children and families. While this position is based in Delaware, treating patients throughout the Delaware Valley; collaborative opportunities exist across the enterprise, including locations in Florida.

NCH is ranked as one of the country's Best Children's Hospitals and the Nemours Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders is ranked as one of the country's Top Pediatric Cancer Centers as per US News & World Report. This excellence is mostly accredited to their excellent rankings in five-year cancer survival, post bone marrow transplant survival, advanced clinical services and treatment and exceptional nursing and clinical support services. More than just a new name, the newly formed Lisa Dean Moseley Foundation Institute for Cancer and Blood Disorders will drive new opportunity for pediatric cancer and blood disorder care at NCH.
