People/HR Coordinator

Rinse is building a technology-enabled global category leader for clothing care. The People Operations Coordinator supports recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, employee experience, benefits and leave coordination, and HR systems administration while improving People Operations workflows through automation and AI.

What you'll do:

• Keep recruiting moving across open roles by supporting job postings, candidate communication, interview scheduling, and accurate ATS tracking — while finding ways to make the candidate experience faster and more human
• Run onboarding and off-boarding from checklist to completion, coordinating documentation, system access, first-day logistics, and clear employee communication
• Be a first-line People resource for routine benefits, leave, and employee-experience questions; resolve what you can and route more complex issues to the right HR partner
• Play a key role in employee experience programs
• Keep our systems and records clean and useful, including backup administration for ADP and internal tools, limited LMS administration, employee records, trackers, and recurring deadlines
• Build smarter People Ops workflows. Spot friction, write or improve SOPs, and use AI, automation, spreadsheets, and Google Workspace to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and create better self-service — while protecting confidential employee data

What they're looking for:

• This is an entry level role
• Candidates from non-traditional People/HR backgrounds are welcome to apply, especially those who bring strong systems and technology skills, transferable operational experience, and a clear interest in building a career in People/HR
• Bring 0–3 years of experience in People Operations, HR coordination, recruiting coordination, or a related high-volume operations/administrative role
• You can point to real examples where you used generative AI, automation, or no-/low-code tools to remove repetitive work, improve a workflow, organize information, or raise the quality of an output — and explain how you checked the result
• Learn systems quickly and enjoy making them work better
• Naturally connect with people. You are approachable, service-minded, and able to make frontline employees, managers, candidates, and teammates feel heard while still communicating process and boundaries clearly
• Are exceptionally organized and reliable. You notice details, close loops, manage competing deadlines, and can be trusted with confidential information
• Communicate clearly in writing and conversation, and know how to translate a process or policy into language that is easy to understand
• Have a builder's mindset. You are comfortable in a fast-moving startup, willing to jump into the administrative work, and motivated to improve the process once you understand it
• Use good judgment and ownership. You move things forward independently, ask thoughtful questions when needed, and escalate appropriately rather than letting issues sit
• Experience supporting an hourly or distributed workforce is a strong plus
• Experience with an HRIS/ATS, Google Workspace tools, Slack, or similar tools is useful; ADP experience is a plus
