Job Summary
The Perinatal Grant Manager provides oversight and leadership of the perinatal grant by planning, directing, and coordinating all operational and business activities to meet the strategic goals, clinical mission, and financial objectives of the Women's Health service line as it relates to this grant. The manager ensures that quality services are provided according to established policies and procedures.

Education
Required:
Bachelor's Degree Graduate from an accredited School of nursing

Preferred:
Master's degree in health administration, Nursing, or initiation of post graduate studies in a related field with evidence of substantial management experience.

Experience
Required:
Minimum of five years of nursing management experience with 3 years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare setting/clinical practice

Preferred:
Women's Health Grant management experience

Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration
Required:
-Current licensure to practice in the State of Tennessee
-BLS prior to going to the unit/department and maintained going forward

The Nurse Licensure Compact will not change how to obtain or renew a Tennessee license. However, the Tennessee nursing license will be a single state license for Tennessee Residents or non-compact state residents. Tennessee licensure or multistate licensure from a compact state must be obtained within three months of hire for non-Tennessee residents.

Department Position Summary
The Perinatal Grant Manager provides leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for all programs supported by the High-Risk Perinatal Grant. Working collaboratively with Women's Health leadership, local and state government agencies, community organizations, healthcare providers, and internal stakeholders, this position is responsible for ensuring grant-funded initiatives meet established clinical, operational, financial, and quality objectives.

This role supervises grant-funded staff, supports program development and implementation, and participates in strategic planning, business development and process improvement efforts. The manager develops a thorough understanding of grant-supported programs and monitors key operational and quality indicators to evaluate performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective actions when needed.

The Perinatal Grant Manager is responsible for financial oversight of grant-funded activities, including budget development and monitoring, ensuring compliance with fiscal policies, maintaining grant records, overseeing invoicing processes, and ensuring adherence to all grant requirements and funding guidelines. The position also supports audit readiness and ensures appropriate documentation is maintained to meet regulatory and funding expectations.

In addition, the manager oversees the development, review, and submission of the annual Perinatal Plan to the Tennessee Department of Health and provides regular operational, financial, and program performance updates to leadership. The role serves as a liaison between Women's Health, Children's Hospital leadership, physicians, staff, regulatory agencies, and community partners, building collaborative relationships that support the success and sustainability of grant-funded programs throughout the region.

The manager also supports recruitment and onboarding efforts, provides data and information to support organizational decision-making, and promotes effective communication, accountability, and continuous improvement across all grant-supported initiatives.
