How you’ll contribute 

An Advanced Pharmacy Technician excels in this role:

  • Performs dispensing and billing functions in appropriate dispensing program

  • Delivers patient- specific and floor stock medications accurately to patient care areas per department practices 

  • Assists the pharmacist in medication compounding 

  • Obtains accurate and timely medication history for each patient as directed

  • Demonstrates awareness of differing physiologic requirements of patient age groups when performing tasks.

  • Completes medication storage checks and narcotic inventory reconciliation as directed

  • Participates and attends meetings as required or assigned

  • Performs general clerical duties, such as answering phones, filing requisitions, etc.
    Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

What we’re looking for 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Michigan Pharmacy Technician License (NOT temporary or limited)

  • 1-year related experience (preferred)

  • Knowledge of Medical/ Nursing Terminology. Familiar with aseptic technique
