Physical Therapist – Full-Time
UPMC Williamsport | Inpatient Rehabilitation
Are you passionate about helping patients regain strength, mobility, and independence? UPMC Williamsport is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our dedicated rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a collaborative group of healthcare professionals while making a meaningful impact on patients' recovery and quality of life.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Every 4th weekend rotation
- Two holidays per year
- Inpatient Rehabilitation experience preferred
What You'll Do
As a Physical Therapist at UPMC Williamsport, you'll evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based therapy to help patients achieve their functional and therapeutic goals. You'll collaborate closely with physicians, rehabilitation staff, patients, and families to deliver exceptional care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and reassessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician referrals.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care team members to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Supervise and partner with Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs).
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Participate in department meetings, continuing education, and professional development opportunities.
- Support student learning by serving as a clinical instructor when appropriate.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Current Pennsylvania Physical Therapist license (or eligible for licensure).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting is a plus.

- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
- Current Physical Therapist (PT) license in Pennsylvania or eligible for licensure.
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and patient care skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances
- Current Pennsylvania Physical Therapist (PT) license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Act 33 Clearance
- Act 34 Clearance
- Act 73 FBI Clearance
Preferred:
- Previous inpatient rehabilitation experience.
- Participation in professional development and continuing education activities.
