About this role
Capgemini Engineering, the world leader in engineering services, is seeking a PLM Business Analyst/Functional Consultant for a major Aerospace & Defense OEM. The role involves capturing requirements, mapping functional scope, and validating the PLM solution within a blended onshore-offshore team.
What you'll do:
- Capture and structure functional requirements from engineering and manufacturing stakeholders
- Map legacy PDM / process-planning functional scope (levels 0–2) onto Teamcenter capabilities
- Identify and document augmented-engineering / AI use cases (AI-assisted requirements, change impact, work instruction generation)
- Document as-is / to-be processes - change control, configuration, BOM and work-instruction flows
- Support configuration, test and validation of the Teamcenter solution against requirements
- Collaborate across the onshore–offshore team (onshore core + offshore center), mirroring the client; senior band runs user workshops and leads scope mapping
What they're looking for:
- 2 to 10 Years of experience as PLM Functional Consultant/PLM Business Analyst (Required junior, intermediate and senior folks)
- Requirements capture, documentation, test support
- Owns functional areas; runs workshops; drives scope mapping
- Leads functional domains, workshops and AI use cases; deeper Teamcenter expertise
- PLM functional / business-analysis experience appropriate to the band (see matrix)
- Ability to capture requirements and map functional scope in an engineering context
- Understanding of core PLM processes - BOM, change control, configuration, process planning
- Comfort collaborating across onshore–offshore teams; strong stakeholder-facing skills
