About this role
About the Department
Plans, organizes, controls, supervises, administers & completes, directs & coordinates through subordinates & supervisors necessary work to ensure competent installation, maintenance & repair of plumbing & related equipment & systems at all institutions and facilities throughout the state.
Assist with the installation, operation & maintenance of plumbing & sewage disposal systems.
Review & approve requisitions & prepare specifications for materials and/or replacement as needed.
Must be able to repair/replace all underground piping, chill water, hot water heating and water mains & able to repair/replace all underground piping, chill water, hot water heating & water mains & sewer to include ductile, carbon steel, PVC & C900 piping; must be able to pipe weld & fit pipe.
Needs to know general construction plumbing to include roughing, setting fixtures & minor plumbing repairs.
Position Duties
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma.
