POOL: RedTire Program Finance Analyst Student Intern

Center for Public Partnerships & Research is focused on enhancing the economic well-being of Kansas through the RedTire program. The role involves assisting in financial analysis and valuation modeling to transition small businesses to new ownership, providing a valuable experiential learning opportunity.

What you'll do:

• Extrapolate raw financial data (from tax returns and company P&L’s) into RedTire models
• Perform business valuation analyses using established models and procedures
• Help with industry, location, and market research/risk initiatives
• Other ad-hoc financial and modeling analysis duties as required
• Assist with day-to-day administration of RedTire and help with leads for candidate business (sellers) and buyers for inclusion in the program

What they're looking for:

• Business undergraduate student with finance or accounting tracks OR MACC or MBA graduate student with finance
• Completion or concurrent enrollment in 'Finance' - FIN 310 or 'Honors Finance' - FIN 311
• Working experience in a Finance-related field from an external employer internship covering some aspects of working with financial statements and/or valuation methodologies
