Portfolio Accountant Intern

Cabot Properties is an international private equity real estate investment firm specializing in logistics and industrial properties. The Portfolio Accountant Intern will support the Fund Accounting team with process improvement, analyses, monthly close activities, accounts payable and cash management exposure, and accounting documentation.

What you'll do:

• Partner with Fund Accounting team members on special projects and process improvement initiatives, such as:
• Enhancing workflows and documentation
• Supporting automation or efficiency efforts within accounting processes
• Contribute to ad hoc analyses
• Gain exposure to the monthly close process, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Observe and support elements of the accounts payable and cash management cycles
• Assist with documentation of accounting procedures and internal controls
• Participate in team meetings and gain exposure to real estate investment structures and fund operations

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (experience with data analysis or modeling a plus)
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all members of the organization
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• High level of professionalism and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality as required and appropriate
