About this role
- Review work order or may receive verbal instructions to determine ink, stock and equipment needed for production.
- Assist press operator with press set up including hanging of plates and blankets on press cylinders using hand tools.
- Keep press supplied with paper stock of top quality.
- Pour ink into reservoirs of printing unit and maintains ink agitator.
- Remove loaded pallet of printed material from stacking mechanism using pallet jack and replace with empty pallet.
- Periodically may need to help with preventative maintenance duties.
- Pay close attention to small detail through out the process.
- Clean and maintain machinery, equipment, and work areas to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions.
- Other duties as assigned
