About this role

Company Overview

Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

Intuit’s Global Business Solutions Group is looking for a Principal Market Researcher to serve as a strategic intelligence partner for QuickBooks Mid-Market growth. The role will lead the research agenda, transform insights into proprietary strategic advantages by applying robust evidence-based synthesis—connecting the dots across complex, disparate data to provide the actionable intelligence that gives our partners the confidence to take bold risks and invest to win.

In this role, you will be the objective voice of the customer/audience, with strong quantitative skills and qualitative depth, bridging the gap between human empathy and strategic business implications to drive business metrics (acquisition, retention, monetization). We are looking for a leader with "extreme ownership" who can navigate ambiguity and move with the velocity required to power prosperity globally.

Responsibilities

  • Own the research and strategic intelligence agenda for QuickBooks Mid-Market, translating business priorities into a focused roadmap of high-value questions that drive measurable customer and business outcomes.
  • Serve as an objective, evidence-based thought partner to senior leaders, identifying knowledge gaps, challenging assumptions, and shaping decisions across product, marketing, GTM, pricing, and growth strategy.
  • Lead complex mixed-method research programs, integrating qualitative research, quantitative studies to develop holistic perspectives on customers and markets.
  • Synthesize across disparate sources of evidence to identify patterns, anticipate emerging opportunities and risks, and translate findings into clear strategic implications and recommendations.
  • Create durable insight frameworks and points of view that compound organizational knowledge and enable teams across QuickBooks and Intuit to make faster, better-informed decisions.
  • Partner with Research Operations and other research leaders to strengthen panels, repositories, tooling, vendors, and research standards while maintaining a high bar for quality, efficiency, and governance.
  • Advance responsible AI-enabled research practices, applying AI across the research lifecycle where it improves speed, scale, or insight quality while maintaining methodological rigor, privacy, and human judgment.
  • Elevate research craft and capability, mentoring researchers and cross-functional partners and establishing best practices for rigorous, decision-oriented research.
  • Influence at the executive level, communicating complex evidence through compelling narratives and clear recommendations that drive alignment and action.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years in market research - brand tracking, segmentation, pricing, behavioral economics
  • Demonstrated track record of using research to influence high-stakes product, portfolio, marketing, GTM, pricing, or investment decisions.

  • Deep mixed-methods proficiency - survey design, statistical analysis, and data visualization - and the ability to integrate research into product planning and prioritization

  • Demonstrated AI fluency across the research lifecycle, including sound judgment regarding appropriate use, limitations, validation, privacy, and quality.

  • Exceptional ability to move from insight to strategic recommendation, including when evidence is incomplete, ambiguous, or conflicting.
  • Strong executive communication, influence, and partnership capabilities.

  • Ability to operate with high autonomy, prioritize among competing questions, and lead through ambiguity.

Nice to have

  • Experience in fintech, financial services, B2B SaaS, or serving mid-market businesses
