About this role
Quanta Power Solutions delivers complete engineering, procurement, and construction solutions across power and energy infrastructure. The Process Engineering Intern will support plant performance, optimization, process monitoring, troubleshooting, technical documentation, and operational improvement initiatives at power generation facilities.
What you'll do:
- Support process engineering projects and plant performance improvement initiatives
- Assist with process monitoring, data analysis, and performance evaluations
- Participate in field inspections and operational assessments
- Assist with process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, and technical documentation
- Support troubleshooting of plant systems, including steam, water, fuel, and emissions control processes
- Assist with engineering calculations, reports, and project documentation
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, environmental, and engineering teams
What they're looking for:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field
- Basic understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid flow, and process systems
- Familiarity with engineering drawings and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in both office and industrial plant environments
- Ability to work in an industrial plant environment, including walking, climbing stairs, and wearing required PPE
- Interest in power generation, energy systems, or industrial processes
- Experience with process modeling, data analysis, or engineering software
- Exposure to plant operations, process optimization, or environmental systems
- Previous internship, co-op, or relevant engineering project experience
