About this role
Toyota Material Handling is seeking a Procurement Analyst Intern for its Summer 2027 internship program. The role supports global supply chain and procurement activities by developing commodity and sourcing strategies, evaluating suppliers, conducting sourcing events and audits, managing supply chain risks, and improving procurement processes.
What you'll do:
- Develop a sourcing strategy for a global supply chain through mapping the available supply base, evaluating current supplier performance, and evaluating industry trends
- Executing RFIs, RFQs, and conducting supplier audits to evaluate qualification status and benchmark costs to ensure supply base cost competitiveness
- Minimize and eliminate supply chain risks by quickly addressing concerns and active supplier management aimed at building long-term transparent relationships
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement internally and throughout the supply chain
What they're looking for:
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain Management or Business Management
- Proficient with MS Office applications and highly talented in Excel
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Ability to adapt easily to change and work in a fast-paced environment, acting with a sense of urgency when faced with organizational risk
- Must be able to problem-solve and handle multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Columbus, IN, for the duration of the Summer 2027 internship
- Results-oriented and strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at any level
- Ability to prioritize work and manage time with limited guidance
- Excellent project management skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Ability to drive aggressive implementation plans and schedules
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
