PROCUREMENT DATA ANALYST

The City of Little Rock is seeking a Procurement Data Analyst to support financial data activities across its departments. The role focuses on identifying insights, testing ideas, and partnering with stakeholders to improve data quality, data collection systems, and data analytics.

What you'll do:

• To identify insights, formulate and test ideas, and partner with stakeholders in City of Little Rock Departments to improve data quality, data collection systems, and data analytics relative to financial activities

What they're looking for:

• These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of four (4) years of college coursework in Business Administration, Economics, Information Technology, Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Physics, Finance, or a related field; one (1) year of professional-level experience in technical data analysis, data science, data warehousing, financial services or related for a large multi-departmental agency or organization
• Preferably in the public sector
• One (1) year of demonstrated experience supporting business operations in an analytics capacity to include experience in data management systems or related area
• One (1) year of experience in an Analytical role with a heavy focus on querying data, analyzing and presenting analyses to stakeholders across the organization
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
• Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position
• Must be available to work outside of the normal office hours to meet deadlines as required
• Do you have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related area?
• Do you have at least one (1) year of professional-level experience in technical data analysis, data science, data warehousing, financial services or related for a large multi-departmental agency or organization?
• Do you have at least one (1) year of experience in an analytical role with a heavy focus on querying data, analyzing and presenting analyses to stakeholders across the organization?
• Do you have at least two (2) years of demonstrated advanced-level Microsoft excel experience?
