Product Development Assistant

Torrid is hiring a Product Development Assistant to support the Product Development team throughout the product lifecycle and help bring the merchant’s vision to life. The role coordinates with cross-functional teams, tracks development activities and milestones, supports purchase orders and vendor communications, and provides administrative support.

What you'll do:

• Partner daily with cross-functional teams including Design, Merchandising, Technical Design, and Product Development to support development activities and ensure alignment
• Maintain and update weekly WIP (Work in Progress) reports across multiple seasons, ensuring accuracy and visibility for all stakeholders
• Track samples, approvals, and key milestones in accordance with development calendars and deadlines
• Support purchase order processes, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and proper documentation
• Assist in managing communication with offshore vendors and factories to help drive progress on development milestones
• Provide administrative and organizational support to the Product Development team
• Support the Production Manager with day-to-day responsibilities, including maintaining accurate records and tracking key deliverables

What they're looking for:

• 1–2 years of experience in product development, merchandising, or a related field
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills
• Ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) preferred
