About this role
Gellert Global Group is a food importing company seeking a Product Development Coordinator to support the development and launch of new products. The role coordinates cross-functional activities, maintains project timelines and documentation, supports commercialization and market analysis, and collaborates with suppliers, customers, Sales, and Marketing teams.
What you'll do:
- Assist in coordinating new product development projects from ideation through launch
- Support cross-functional teams with formulation, food safety, packaging, pricing, and product positioning activities
- Research consumer trends, market insights, and competitive products to identify potential innovation opportunities
- Maintain product development documentation, specifications, and project records
- Support the execution of new product commercialization initiatives by coordinating activities across departments and reporting to project leads
- Track project timelines and key milestones to help ensure successful product launches
- Facilitate communication between internal teams and external partners throughout the development process
- Assist with gathering and organizing information needed for launch readiness
- Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to support new product introductions and category growth initiatives
- Assist in evaluating market opportunities and compiling competitive analyses
- Help prepare product information and recommendations for internal and customer-facing presentations
- Support relationships with suppliers throughout the product development process
What they're looking for:
- 1–3 years of experience in product development, project coordination, marketing, food service, or related field
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and follow-through abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Interest in food trends, product innovation, and consumer insights
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Candidates should be comfortable with this upcoming change in location
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Food Science, or related field preferred
