About this role
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Development: Design bellows and bellows assemblies using SolidWorks and EJMA calculations.
- Product Quotation: Provide preliminary design and production sequences for the sales team to quote new products.
- Production Support: Review customer requirements, create manufacturing prints, design manufacturing prints and troubleshoot production issues.
- Customer Technical Support: Serves as a link between production and customers. Respond to customer technical questions.
- Process Improvements: Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in product engineering, product development, or a related role.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical analysis.
- Knowledge of machining processes, materials science, and sheet metal forming processes.
- Experience with stress calculations, such as tensile stress, share stress and hoop stress.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proactive at seeking knowledge and understanding processes and data.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
- Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., AS, AMS, ASME, ASTM, AWS).
