About this role

Arthrex is a global medical device company focused on orthopedic product development and medical education. The role supports the growth and development of the orthopedic powered instruments portfolio by managing product strategy, cross-functional development, commercialization, customer relationships, training, and product lifecycle activities.

What you'll do:

  • Lead cross-functional product development efforts in partnership with Marketing, Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, and Operations from concept through commercialization
  • Define and execute product strategy, including market research, competitive analysis, pricing, positioning, and lifecycle management (launch through phase-out)
  • Develop and maintain a prioritized set of customer and market requirements to ensure products align with business objectives and market opportunities
  • Manage the full product development lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, risk mitigation, issue resolution, and coordination through design, prototype, and production release stages
  • Drive project execution by establishing objectives, allocating resources, monitoring budgets, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial targets
  • Provide technical and financial analysis, including product justification, profit estimates, forecasting, and reporting to senior leadership
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (including customers and key surgeons) to gather insights, maintain relationships, and ensure alignment on scope, quality, and deliverables
  • Coordinate product launches and commercialization efforts, including sales enablement, marketing communications, training, and distribution strategy to maximize market penetration
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to plan and develop assets to educate and inform end users about the products
  • Conducts surgeon and sales rep product and procedure training
  • Deliver technical expertise, training, and support to internal teams, sales representatives, and customers, including resolving complex product issues
  • Coordinates product introduction and market exploitation with marketing and sales organizations to ensure maximum penetration of market segment

What they're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business or engineering
  • Associate Product Manager level requires at least 1 year of orthopedic medical device product management and/or sales and/or engineering and/or marketing experience OR a Master's degree
  • Product Manager level requires at least 5 years of orthopedic medical device product management (up and/or downstream marketing) and/or sales and/or engineering experience
  • Ability to work with cadaveric specimens
  • Knowledge of the orthopedic market
  • Skilled in working with different functions and effectively coordinates their activities to achieve desired results
  • Excellent listening skills, including the ability to identify and isolate customers concerns or objections, in addition to excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills are required
  • Master's degree is preferred
  • Experience related to powered instruments for orthopedic applications preferred
