About this role
DICK’S Sporting Goods is a sports retail company committed to creating confidence and excitement by equipping athletes to achieve their dreams. The Product Management Intern will learn product management methodologies, analyze customer and market data, support product strategy and execution, and collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver customer-focused products.
What you'll do:
- Use data to identify customer pain points
- Participate in sessions to identify the right problems
- Participate in prioritizing problems for best business outcomes
- Gather & analyze market data inclusive of creating competitive analyses, bench market or SWOT presentations
- Participate in identifying patterns in data & build expanded research models
- Create & present reports on findings, defects, improvements, statuses & risk management
- Use decision support tools to weigh the competing factors for prioritization of backlog
- Contribute to team discovery efforts
- Tasked with key projects & provides support to more senior-level Product Managers
- Scoping & prioritization of tasks that are assigned to you
- Perform validation for production releases, bug fixes & feature requests
- Troubleshoot defects, participate in root cause analysis & find solutions for resolution

- A foundational understanding of Product Management
- Ability to balance business objectives and customer needs
- Strong deductive reasoning skills
- A customer-centric view into developing great product experiences
- Ability to distill complex technical concepts into plain language for stakeholders
- Strong curiosity when it comes to using new tools, adopting new technology, and learning new product management frameworks that will progress your professional development
- Dynamic written and verbal communication style, as well as the ability to communicate cross-functionally and vertically throughout the organization
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and outcome-oriented environment
- Attending an accredited university, college or technical school
- Graduation date of Winter 2027 or Spring 2028
- An undergrad or Master's degree in Product Management, Business, Technology or related field
