Product Manager

Ford Motor Credit helps customers and dealerships access financing and related services for Ford and Lincoln vehicles. The Payments Product Manager will own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of payments products, translating customer and business needs into product requirements while partnering with engineering, design, data science, risk, finance, and other teams. The role will use analytics, experimentation, and measurable outcomes to improve payment capabilities and drive product decisions.

What you'll do:

• Own and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for payments capabilities, aligning with broader business and technology strategy
• Translate customer, business, and technical requirements into clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams
• Partner with engineering and design in an agile/scrum environment — participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Define success metrics and KPIs for every feature or product launch; ensure instrumentation and measurement plans are in place before go-live
• Use data and analytics to continuously monitor product performance, identify opportunities, and inform prioritization decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, UX, risk/compliance, finance, operations) to align on priorities and remove blockers
• Conduct market, competitive, and customer research to identify unmet needs and opportunities within the payments space
• Communicate product plans, progress, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders and leadership
• Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and trade-offs, and drive decisions to keep initiatives moving forward
• Champion a culture of experimentation, iteration, and continuous improvement

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
• Proven experience as a Product Manager or in a similar product ownership role, ideally within a technical or platform-driven environment
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
• Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to drive product decisions; comfort with dashboards, experimentation, and defining success metrics
• Strong technical aptitude; ability to engage credibly with engineering teams on architecture, APIs, and system constraints
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously
• Self-starter mentality with a bias toward action and ownership
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; known as a great teammate who elevates those around them
• Candidates for positions with Ford Motor Company must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Experience with payments processing, receivables, ACH, or related financial transaction systems is a plus but not required
• 1+ years of Product Manager experience
• Payments experience
