About this role
VALD is hiring a Product Manager to own BridgeAthletic’s nutrition experience, including coach workflows for delivering guidance and tracking athlete progress, and the athlete meal-logging experience. The role takes projects from problem definition through launch and uses feedback and product data to inform roadmap recommendations.
What you'll do:
- Own projects from start to finish. You write the requirements, run the rhythm with engineering, manage scope in-flight, and keep projects moving through to release
- Turn problems into solutions. The roadmap will give you the problem and priority. You'll work out the right solution, think through edge cases and trade-offs, and make sure the final product works in the real world
- Own launches. Make sure releases are ready, documentation and internal teams are prepared, and measure what happens after launch. Shipping is only the start; we care about whether people use what we build
- Help shape the roadmap. Analyze user feedback and usage data to recommend what we should build next
- Learn the domain. Build a strong understanding of strength & conditioning and how coaches actually work day to day
What they're looking for:
- 1+ years in project management or similar role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate requirements, decisions and ideas in a way that teams can easily understand
- Strong execution skills, with a track record of keeping projects moving, spotting risks early and raising issues before they become problems
- Attention to detail, with a focus on thinking through edge cases before they reach QA or customers
- A data-driven approach, using product data to inform decisions and questioning the numbers when something doesn't look right
- Strong prioritisation and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and keep teams aligned
- Genuine curiosity about the domain, with an interest in understanding how coaches work and why, even if you don't have a strength & conditioning background today
- A growth mindset aligned with VALD's culture of continuous learning and development
- A background in nutrition, coaching, or competitive athletics
Benefits:
- Remote (any location)
