The Product Manager – OTB Solutions will lead a portfolio of high-speed datacenter interconnect products and help drive strategy, innovation, commercialization, and lifecycle management across a growing global business. This role combines strategic thinking, customer engagement, business leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver solutions that address evolving customer and market needs.

The successful candidate will partner closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, and customers to translate market opportunities into profitable growth and successful product outcomes. This role offers broad visibility across the organization and the opportunity to influence product strategy, investment priorities, and customer success.

Short Description

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Strategy & Market Insight
•    Develop product and portfolio strategies aligned with customer needs, technology trends, and business priorities.
•    Monitor market developments, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities.
•    Contribute to product roadmaps and investment decisions that support long-term growth.
•    Help define compelling value propositions and market positioning.

Business & Commercial Leadership
•    Support achievement of revenue, profitability, and market growth objectives.
•    Develop business cases, financial analyses, and portfolio recommendations.
•    Partner with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Engineering to align business plans and execution priorities.
•    Contribute to pricing, commercial strategy, and customer engagement activities.

New Product Development & Customer Engagement
•    Lead commercialization efforts for new product initiatives from concept through launch.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet customer, quality, and operational requirements.
•    Engage directly with customers to understand challenges, identify opportunities, and support design-win activity.
•    Help drive successful execution of strategic development programs.

Product Lifecycle Management
•    Support portfolio optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
•    Partner with teams to address product, quality, delivery, and customer-related challenges.
•    Contribute to forecasting, demand planning, and inventory management activities.
•    Enable commercial success through customer-facing communications, training, and sales support.

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in product management, engineering, sales, field applications, business management, or a related role within a technology-focused environment.
  • Experience supporting new product development, commercialization, or product lifecycle activities.
  • Strong analytical, business, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.


Preferred Qualifications
•    Experience in datacenter infrastructure, AI systems, networking, interconnects, connectors, cables, sockets, or related technologies.
•    Experience working with hyperscalers, OEMs, ODMs, silicon providers, or other strategic technology customers.
•    Knowledge of portfolio management, pricing strategy, business planning, or financial analysis.
•    Understanding of high-speed interconnect technologies and datacenter architectures.
•    MBA and advanced technical degree, or equivalent relevant experience.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $153,200 – $229,700 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
