About this role

As a Production Chemist I, you will play a crucial role in producing specialized life science products that empower researchers and scientists to achieve healthcare breakthroughs and save lives. Your primary responsibilities will include performing bench chemistry processes, preparing bulk solutions and buffers, and conducting both final and in-process quality control testing. In this position, you will gain in-depth knowledge of the manufacturing process and stay informed about safety, environmental, and OSHA regulations to uphold our high standards and meet customer expectations. Join our Global Supply Chain Manufacturing team, dedicated to delivering high-quality products that support life sciences research.

 

Work Schedule 8:30 am - 5:00 pm M-F

Pay rate $36.50/hr

 

How you will make an impact:

 

  • Formulate bulks, buffers, and solutions to support Bio-education and Bio-Plex product portfolios.
  • Adhere to controlled Standard Operating Procedures, Production Procedures, and document productionin batch records following GDP/GMP guidelines.
  • Manage and dispose of all materials in compliance with safety, environmental, and OSHA regulations.
  • Perform general laboratory maintenance, including cleaning work areas, washing dishes, and managing inventory via SAP.
  • Set up, maintain, calibrate, and support the troubleshooting and repair of laboratory equipment.

What you bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science or related field
  • 0-3 years working in a general manufacturing environment formulating biological/ life sciences products
  • Practical experience with quality systems, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), buffer preparation, and equipment operation is preferred.
  • Collaborative team player, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality standards.
  • Proficiency in math, problem-solving, excel, and other computer skills are essential.
