Schedule: 4 – 10 hour shifts with overtime as needed, up to 60 hours a week. Multiple shifts available: Days, Nights, Weekends

Winchester is seeking dependable and safety-focused Ammunition Packers to support production operations at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant—the world's largest producer of small-caliber ammunition. As an Ammunition Packer, you will play a critical role in ensuring ammunition is accurately inspected, packaged, labeled, and prepped for shipment while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Your work directly supports the mission of supplying reliable ammunition to America's Warfighter.
Salary:
- Starting Pay: $20.60 per hour with an increase to $21.79 per hour after 120 days.
- Shift Differentials: Weekend night shifts ($2.00 per hour), weeknight shifts ($0.70)

Production Packer – Ammunition Manufacturing Essential Responsibilities:
- Sort, clean, inspect, and separate ammunition and components in preparation for packaging and shipment.
- Operate bandoleer filling, stamping, and other packaging equipment while monitoring product quality throughout the process.
- Visually inspect ammunition and components, feeding materials into automated equipment to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
- Move raw materials, components, and finished ammunition using electric lift carts, two-wheel dollies, and other approved material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by performing routine housekeeping, following safety procedures, and assisting with basic equipment care.
Production Packer – Ammunition Manufacturing Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age to meet qualifications.
- Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check if job offer is received and accepted.
- Prior full-time work experience preferred; manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift/carry up to 50 pounds, and push up to 100 pounds.
- Ability and willingness to work any shift, including overtime, up to 20 hours per week, per union contract.
Location-Specific Requirements:
- This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
- This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
- This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies. To meet the government-facility requirements, the candidate must be a US citizen.
