Working for the Missouri National Guard (MONG) Director of Domestic Operations (DOMS) Protection Branch provides a unique opportunity to plan and mitigate against all hazards to protect; facilities, personnel and their families across Missouri.
Responsibilities - What you’ll do
- Implementation, synchronization, integration, and sustainment of an EM program for the MONG and subordinate commands/facilities within the MONG Area of Operation.
- Develop and maintain a state hazard response plan. Coordinate with local, state, and federal agency emergency managements to ensure EM plans are mutually supporting and properly integrated.
- Assist in the organization of command and staff relationships regarding EM. Establish a functional EM working Group (EMWG) and participate in the Protection Working Group (PWG).
- Ensure community awareness is integrated and synchronized into emergency planning, preparation, and training.
- Provide subject matter expertise to MONG Commanders and members of EMWG/PWG.
- Ensure emergency response teams and personnel training is occurring across the state.
- Conduct assessments of EM program for subordinate installation, facilities, and sites.
Qualifications - All you need for success
- Four to seven years of relevant experience in Emergency Management.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and assessing protection of emergency plans.
- Bachelor's degree or ten years formal security program experience implementation or management maybe considered as a substitute for a degree.
- Incumbent is required a "SECRET" security clearance, can be obtained after hire.
- Experience writing security policies and procedures.
- Experience in antiterrorism, military program management, and handling classified material.
- Experience planning, conducting, and evaluating drills and exercises for emergency management.
- Master's degree in security field preferred.
