About this role
About the Department
The Division of Economic Development is responsible for the statewide delivery of readySC™ and retrainSC™, two key programs that support economic development across South Carolina. The Division also coordinates the Chief Continuing Education Officers and other workforce development initiatives. The purpose of this position is to serve as a process administrator, with oversight and direction from senior leadership, responsible for supporting the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of division processes. This role provides program assistance, recommends process improvements, and offers technical and administrative support for program operations, workforce development projects, and executive decision-making. The position supports the personnel, resources, and processes needed to deliver a broad range of program and project support functions essential to the operation of the Division and the successful implementation of readySC™ projects, retrainSC™ programs, and other workforce initiatives throughout the state. The role also collaborates with senior management and division staff on process improvement efforts; assists with the development and implementation of program guidelines, policies, and procedures; and works closely with Information Technology Services (ITS), under the direction of the Senior Project Controls and Administrative Manager, to promote clear communication and mutually beneficial outcomes. Additionally, this position supports and coordinates activities that strengthen and advance the brands of SCTCS, the Economic Development Division, readySC™, retrainSC™, and Special Projects.
