About the Department
The Ecophysiology Continuing Education Program Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating continuing education programs for cardiac sonographers, echocardiography professionals, and healthcare practitioners seeking advanced knowledge in ecophysiology. This position ensures curriculum alignment with industry standards, credentialing requirements, and current evidence-based practices while supporting workforce development initiatives.
Position Duties
Curriculum Development
· Design and develop CE courses, workshops, seminars, and certificate programs in ecophysiology and cardiovascular diagnostics.
· Create learning objectives, instructional materials, assessments, laboratory activities, and competency evaluations.
· Ensure content aligns with industry standards and credentialing organizations such as the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
· Integrate adult learning principles and instructional design best practices into course development.
Program Management
· Coordinate program implementation and scheduling.
· Monitor program outcomes and participant satisfaction.
· Conduct periodic curriculum reviews and updates based on advances in echocardiography technology and clinical practice.
· Maintain accreditation and continuing education documentation as required.
Industry Engagement
· Collaborate with healthcare organizations, hospitals, physicians, and sonography professionals to identify workforce training needs.
· Establish partnerships with clinical affiliates and industry stakeholders.
· Participate in professional organizations and conferences to remain current on emerging trends.
Assessment and Compliance
· Develop learner assessments and competency evaluations.
· Ensure compliance with institutional policies, accreditation standards, and continuing education requirements.
· Track and report program metrics and outcomes.
Faculty Support
· Recruit and support adjunct instructors and subject matter experts.
· Provide instructional guidance and resources for course delivery.
· Facilitate faculty training related to educational technologies and teaching methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
· Associate’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Cardiovascular Technology, Health Sciences, Education, or related field.
· Current professional credential in echocardiography (RDCS, RCS, or equivalent).
· Minimum three years of clinical experience in echocardiography.
· Experience developing educational programs, training materials, or workforce development initiatives.
· Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Allied Health, or related field.
· Teaching experience in higher education or continuing education settings.
· Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
· Knowledge of accreditation and CE approval processes.
Other Qualifications
Working Conditions:
· Ability to present instructional materials and demonstrate echocardiography equipment.
· Occasional travel to clinical and educational sites.
