Program Manager Intern

Senior plc is an international, market-leading, engineering solutions provider, and they are seeking a Program Manager Intern. The role involves assisting the New Product Development team with various responsibilities including commercial support, program management, and process improvement.

What you'll do:

• To assist the New Product Development (NPD) team in their daily work and to complete special assignments
• Commercial support of development programs (Drive and close program/project action items)
• Program management (contributions towards program execution)
• Production support (expediting production activities, logistics, issue resolution)
• Customer support (prepping program material for customer review)
• Process improvement, automation, and standardization (identify opportunities, capture “quick wins”)
• Data reduction and analysis (trend analysis, opportunity identification, data-driven story telling)
• Working with all groups within the company to complete tasks as required. Groups include, but are not limited to: Program Management, Design Engineering, Drafting, Test Lab, Operations, Quality Engineering, Purchasing, Contracts, and Shipping/Receiving

What they're looking for:

• A student working toward, or recently graduated with, a BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Physics. Other technical degrees may be considered
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Can demonstrate ability to face unfamiliar problems by application of first principles of engineering and physics
• Can demonstrate leadership and technical competence, backed by examples of actual execution
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex projects into actionable and measurable tasks
• Excellent organizational skills
• A motivated self-driver
• Can get along with and function in a team with a variety of personalities, backgrounds, skill sets and skill levels
