This position is integral to various grant support activities for the department, focusing on process improvement as we integrate into a new financial system.
The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
Responsibilities - What you’ll do
- Guide bureau modernization team; focus on process improvement through utilization of Smartsheet
- Develop and maintain training documentation for department staff
- Facilitate and present in-person and online training sessions
- Liaison with DHSS MOVERS Team and DHSS Modernization Team to ensure seemless transition into the new financial system
- Assist with projects for the bureau in relation to process improvement
- Utilize Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, Internet, and the state's financial system to complete duties
- Communicate effectively with and assist DHSS team members
- Serve as back-up to other team members to ensure forward movement for the division
- Identify issues, evaluate options and recommend solutions
Qualifications - All you need for success
- Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Highly organized, proactive and possess strong analytical skills.
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be accountable for themselves and to the team
- Exercise independence, judgment, and initiative in the performance of their duties
