About this role
Sargento is seeking a Project Management Intern to support strategic initiatives focused on new product development, capacity expansion, process improvements, cost savings, and technology implementations. The intern will assist with cross-functional project execution, facilitate meetings, manage documentation, communicate updates, and help identify and mitigate project risks.
What you'll do:
- Gain hands-on experience with project management practices, including the Innovation Stage-Gate process for new products
- Support the execution of strategic initiatives across new products, capabilities, process improvements, cost savings, and technology implementations
- Assist in managing cross-functional projects by clarifying objectives, scope, timelines, and resource needs
- Facilitate project meetings to track progress, resolve issues, maintain accountability, and keep teams aligned with timelines
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and mitigate risks, resolve conflicts, and adapt project plans as needed
- Communicate project updates through reports, presentations, meeting minutes, and stakeholder engagement
- Help maintain essential project documentation and support post-project evaluations to improve future processes
What they're looking for:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in project management, business management, organizational development, communications or related field, having completed junior year prior to the start of the internship
- Solid organizational and planning skills are required
- Must be team-oriented, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Must enjoy challenges and be adaptable to changes in project scope and direction
- Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and vehicle required. There is no mass/public transit system to/from corporate housing location to company locations
