Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work comfortably with the public. They should demonstrate excellent attention to detail, organizational abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting. Proficiency in basic computer skills, including typing, is essential, along with familiarity with design platforms such as Canva. Additionally, strong telephone and general communication skills, as well as the ability to develop creative strategies to enhance social media engagement, are required.

Duties

Assist the public in the Open Study Sensory Space at Webster 112 by checking students in and out and answering directional and informational questions. Provide basic information about Student Success Center services. When assigned, prepare the space for opening and ensure the service desks are secured at closing. While at the desk, create content for weekly social media posts, and design flyers or signs for the space. Additionally, assist with events as needed.

Work Schedule

The position requires working 1 to 3 times a week, with an average of 5 to 20 hours per week. Hours may vary each semester based on student availability. Minimum to be able work for 1 year.
