Public Safety Intelligence Analyst - Financial

The Ohio Narcotics Intelligence Center provides investigative support through electronic-device extraction and analysis, criminal case support, trend analysis, cryptocurrency tracing, and dark web investigations. The Public Safety Intelligence Analyst conducts forensic financial analysis, performs cryptocurrency tracing, prepares intelligence reports and briefings, and assists with fiscal functions.

What you'll do:

• Conduct thorough forensic financial analysis of businesses, individuals or groups identified as participating in suspicious or illegal activity (e.g., conduct advanced analysis of financial data & other information related to financial crimes; compile findings & conclusions into financial reports; identify & trace funding sources & interrelated transactions; identify assets for forfeiture or seizure & calculate losses)
• Perform cryptocurrency tracing and analysis
• Identify & analyze informational databases, spreadsheets & reports allowing information to be easily exchanged & understood
• Prepare intelligence reports, products, & briefings for presentation to all public safety partners
• Assist Forensic Financial Program Manager with all fiscal functions within the ONIC

What they're looking for:

• 36 mos. exp. conducting research & writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical &/or statistical research techniques
• -Or completion of undergraduate core program in homeland security, political science, criminal justice, emergency management, public health, international affairs or related field
• 12 mos. exp. conducting research & writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical &/or statistical research techniques
• -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
• Position also requires the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Secret level Security Clearance
• Requires valid driver's license to operate state-owned vehicle or must be able to provide own transportation
