Job Description

Turn Attention to Detail Into Quality You Can Measure

PCC Structurals – Carson City is looking for an entry-level Quality Inspector to support Final Dimensional Verification, or FDV, for aerospace castings and components. In this role, you’ll use precision measurement tools, technical instructions, and inspection processes to confirm that each part meets its requirements before moving forward.

Previous quality inspection experience is not required. This opportunity is a strong fit for someone who notices the small details, works carefully, and wants to develop technical inspection skills in aerospace manufacturing.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of aerospace castings and components.
  • Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and other standard inspection tools.
  • Verify part identification, job numbers, and traceability throughout the inspection process.
  • Read and follow job routers, work instructions, blueprints, certifications, and technique cards.
  • Apply basic shop math and print-reading skills during inspections.
  • Complete inspection plans, records, and other required documentation accurately.
  • Track production and inspection activity in E1 or other applicable systems.
  • Handle and transport parts carefully to prevent damage.
  • Support production timelines and meet established cycle-time expectations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You…

  • Pay close attention to details and take pride in accurate work.
  • Can remain focused while completing precise or repetitive inspection tasks.
  • Are comfortable learning how to read blueprints and technical documents.
  • Have an interest in using precision measurement tools.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions carefully.
  • Stay organized and document your work accurately.
  • Work well with others while remaining accountable for your own responsibilities.
  • Take safety, quality, and proper part handling seriously.

Why This Role Matters

Final inspection is an important step in ensuring aerospace components meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality requirements. Your work will help identify issues before parts move forward, maintain accurate traceability, and protect the quality of every component leaving the inspection process.

Schedule

  • Regular shift: 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
