Quant Developer - Quant Associate Programme - 2027

Marshall Wace is seeking high-calibre, numerate individuals for its Quantitative Associate Programme. The Quant Developer will design, deploy, and maintain live systematic trading models, integrate research into production, monitor performance, maintain backtesting systems, oversee capital allocation, and resolve live trading issues while driving automation.

What you'll do:

• You will design, deploy, and maintain our cutting-edge live trading models - turning research into real-time action
• Integrating new research into production, building systems and controls to monitor live models, ensuring our back testing environment accurately describes reality, and overseeing capital allocation across hundreds of live strategies
• You will resolve live trading issues and drive automation at scale

What they're looking for:

• A minimum of a Master's degree in a highly quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Advanced programming skills in Python, C++, or similar languages
• A solid foundation in statistics, probability, and numerical methods
• Genuine interest in financial markets and systematic trading
• Sharp problem-solving ability and a rigorous, analytical mindset
• The ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, live trading environment
• Clear communication skills - you can explain complex technical concepts to a range of audiences
• A proactive, self-starter attitude with the drive to take ownership of projects from day one
