R&D Product Development Internship - Summer 2027

Johnsonville is a global food company that develops and produces sausage products. The R&D Product Development Intern will support Packaging Engineering and Sensory/Consumer Insights activities by assisting with new product development, processing, packaging, sensory evaluation, and product improvement projects. The role also involves participating in cross-functional project teams and conducting pilot plant and plant trials.

What you'll do:

• Develop Project Vision, Objective(s), Scope, and Deliverables
• Plan project activities and develop timelines
• Work on cross-functional teams and work independently
• Assist in pilot plant trials and plant trials
• Maintain accurate and complete work records such as a notebook and status reports
• Share your ideas, questions, problems, and results with other team members

What they're looking for:

• * Candidate must currently be working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Meat Science or Food Science from an accredited university
• * Relevant coursework in the areas of Meat Science or Food Science
• * Computer proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• * Ability and willingness to travel to other facilities
• * Ability to work off shifts as needed
• * Must possess a drive for excellence
• * Must maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
• * **Start Date:** May 24, 2027
• * Must be at least 18 years old
• Travel: Minimal

• * 3.5 minimum GPA strongly preferred
