Radio Equipment Repairer

Job Overview

As a Radio Equipment Repairer, you’ll perform or supervise essential preventive maintenance checks and services on radios, transmitters, communication security equipment, and other associated equipment to ensure secure communication is always available. It’ll be your responsibility to calibrate and align equipment components, as well as use test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment. You’ll test program sets and use interactive electronic technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment.

Requirements

• Be a U.S. citizen
• 17 to 42 Years Old
• High School Diploma or GED
• Meet Tattoo Guidelines
• No Major Law Violations
• No Medical Concerns

Testing & Certifications

• 85 Nationally Recognized Certifications Available
• 10 weeks of Basic Training
• 21 weeks and one day of Advanced Individual Training
• ASVAB Score: Electronics (EL): 102
