- Certifying the property tax base for a minimum of 8 counties by collaborating with county assessors to review, verify, and reconcile state and county assessment data.
- Analyzing assessment information using specialized workbooks, identify and resolve discrepancies between state and county records, and ensure combined assessment totals are accurate, balanced, and compliant with statutory requirements within a one-month statutory timeframe.
- Managing and resolving non-compliant property tax accounts by conducting timely follow-up, maintaining accurate documentation, and implementing appropriate corrective actions to ensure compliance with applicable property tax statutes, regulations, and departmental policies.
- Serving as a technical resource for property owners, taxpayers, authorized agents, county assessors and staff, and other persons involved in the administration and collection of New Mexico property taxes by providing guidance on property tax laws, assessment procedures, and the New Mexico Property Tax Code.
- Delivering accurate, timely, and professional responses to inquiries while fostering compliance and supporting the effective administration of New Mexico's property tax system.
