Job Summary
Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! This position is located with Semper Fit Division, Youth Sports Branch. Candidates selected for this position will serve as a Recreation Assistant (Youth Sports), NF-0189-02.
Major Duties
What to Expect
Performs and/or assists in the operation of the recreation activity.
Carries out assigned phases of designated activity applying an understanding of the interest and needs of program participants.
Demonstrates procedures common to the activities, and instructs in the use of related equipment.
Helps to plan and coordinates details of recreational activities and maintains related supplies.
Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What are we looking for?
Minimum two years experience in customer service, preferably in a related recreational activity.
Skill to demonstrate activities and use of related facility equipment.
Ability to acquire CPR and First Aid certification within 6 months of employment is required.
May be required to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries and State Criminal History Repository Check (CNACI) background checks which are required for positions that involve working with children under 18 years of age.
