Recruiter

John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. is seeking a Recruiter to manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly operations positions. The role partners with hiring managers and Human Resources to source and evaluate candidates, coordinate hiring activities, support workforce planning and hiring events, and maintain accurate recruiting records and reporting.

What you'll do:

• Manages full-cycle recruitment for assigned hourly operations positions, including job postings, candidate sourcing, application review, phone screening, interview coordination, offer management, and pre-employment activities
• Develops and maintains candidate pipelines through job boards, employee referrals, community partnerships, hiring events, local outreach efforts, and other sourcing strategies
• Partners with hiring managers and Human Resources to understand staffing needs, hiring priorities, job requirements, scheduling demands, and selection criteria
• Provides regular communication and updates to hiring managers regarding candidate activity, hiring progress, and potential staffing challenges
• Maintains accurate and compliant records within the applicant tracking system, including candidate statuses, disposition reasons, offer details, and required documentation
• Communicates job expectations, compensation, schedules, workplace requirements, and hiring process updates to candidates in a professional and timely manner
• Supports hiring events, job fairs, community recruiting initiatives, and workforce development programs
• Monitors recruiting metrics and hiring results, identifies opportunities for process improvement, and adjusts recruiting strategies to meet staffing objectives
• Ensures compliance with company policies, recruiting procedures, recordkeeping requirements, and equal employment opportunity guidelines

What they're looking for:

• This position is on-site 4 days a week in Elgin, IL
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required, including the ability to read, write, speak, and communicate professionally in both languages
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in recruiting, staffing, Human Resources, customer service, or a high-volume coordination role required
• Experience recruiting hourly employees in a manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or other fast-paced operational environment required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with candidates, hiring managers, and employees at all levels
• Proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with candidates, hiring teams, and community partners
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Ability to work with a high sense of urgency in a fast-paced, high-volume recruiting environment
• Sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
• Experience working with applicant tracking systems and recruiting technologies
