About this role
Mach Industries is a rapidly growing defense technology company developing next-generation autonomous defense platforms. The Early Careers Recruiter will build and scale early talent programs across engineering, manufacturing, and technical disciplines by managing university outreach, candidate engagement, recruiting events, interviews, offers, and onboarding coordination.
What you'll do:
- Partner with hiring managers and engineering teams to define early-career hiring needs and build recruiting strategies across internship and entry-level roles
- Own the full early-career recruiting lifecycle, from university outreach and candidate engagement through interviews, offers, and onboarding coordination
- Develop and manage relationships with top universities, engineering programs, technical clubs, and student organizations
- Plan and execute university recruiting events, technical club partnerships, career fairs, information sessions, and other campus engagement opportunities
- Represent Mach Industries as a brand ambassador at universities, student organizations, conferences, and recruiting events
- Build and continuously improve scalable processes for internship and new-grad recruiting, including candidate tracking, interview coordination, and communication
- Serve as a strategic advisor on talent market trends, compensation benchmarking, and candidate engagement best practices
What they're looking for:
- 3+ years of experience in technical recruiting, business operations, or sales, ideally within deep tech or hard tech verticals OR Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience in recruiting, business operations, or sales
- Demonstrated success sourcing and closing technical candidates in competitive markets
- Strong understanding of engineering roles and organizational structures
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment
- Obsession with building excellent teams
- Available to work extended hours and weekends as needed
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
- Experience recruiting in startup or high-growth environments
- Familiarity with Department of Defense contracting or cleared hiring processes
- Proficiency with recruiting platforms such as Ashby and LinkedIn Recruiter
- Passion for emerging defense technology and innovation in national security
