About this role
CRST The Transportation Solution, Inc. is a transportation and logistics company seeking a Recruiting Intern for its Human Resources team. The role supports candidate engagement, recruiting operations, sourcing, analytics, employment branding, applicant processing, and recruiting projects while providing professional development through the Early Talent summer internship program.
What you'll do:
- Assist with day-to-day recruiting activities, candidate tracking, scheduling, and recruiting operations
- Support candidate communications, interview coordination, hiring events, and recruiting outreach efforts
- Assist with identifying and researching potential candidates through recruiting platforms, databases, networking resources, and lead-generation activities
- Support recruiting reports, hiring metrics, dashboards, and recruiting data analysis
- Assist with job postings, recruiting marketing efforts, career fairs, hiring events, referral programs, and employment brand initiatives
- Support candidate workflow, application review, documentation, background screening coordination, and hiring processes
- Support recruiting initiatives through research, coordination, documentation, and implementation activities
- Assist with identifying opportunities to improve recruiting processes, candidate experience, and operational efficiency
- Partner with recruiting team members, HR partners, operational leaders, and business stakeholders to support hiring objectives
- Participate in learning opportunities, mentorship activities, and business meetings to build recruiting and business knowledge
- Learn recruiting systems, hiring processes, sourcing strategies, and business operations while supporting assigned work
- Learn from our Senior Leaders from day 1 and present your project and experience to them at the end of the summer!

- * **Education:** Currently pursuing a degree in human resources, business, communications, psychology, marketing, organizational leadership, or a related field
- * **Communication:** Strong written and verbal communication skills
- * **Relationship Building:** Ability to engage professionally with candidates, employees, and stakeholders
- * **Organization:** Ability to manage multiple assignments while maintaining attention to detail
- * **Learning Agility:** Ability to learn new systems, recruiting processes, and business concepts quickly
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Regular use of a computer, telephone, and standard office equipment is required. The position may require the ability to observe surroundings, read documents and screens, distinguish visual signals, and communicate effectively with others in person, by telephone, radio, or other communication devices. The position generally involves prolonged periods of sitting, frequent written and verbal communication, and the ability to move throughout office and operational areas as needed. The position primarily requires indoor work. Occasional travel may be required. The position may also require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling materials weighing up to 25 pounds
- * Applicants must be enrolled in undergraduate courses at least the fall semester following the summer internship
- These internships will be based at our offices in Cedar Rapids, IA
- * **Recruiting Interest:** Interest in recruiting, candidate sourcing, employment branding, HR, sales, customer acquisition, or related fields
- * **Customer Service Experience:** Experience working directly with customers, candidates, employees, students, or other stakeholders
- * **Technology:** Experience using Microsoft Office, applicant tracking systems, CRM platforms, social media, or recruiting tools
- * **Project Experience:** Experience supporting projects, events, research, or organizational initiatives
