Position Overview:
The Regional Director (RD) is responsible for the overall results of their Region’s performance and success of their team, including Regional Talent Managers, District Managers, District Talent Managers, Area Managers and hourly employees. The expectation of the RD is to lead their team with a commitment to outstanding people leadership; ensuring a strong, committed, engaged and focused team. This role builds highly productive teams and creates a people-centric work environment that results in high retention at all levels. Through effective leadership, teamwork, and synergy amongst their peers and cross-functional partnerships, the Regional Director is a strong contributor to both divisional and organizational growth. This role builds and maintains a firm foundation, producing high performing teams, high retention at all levels, and financial growth across multiple Districts. The RD is responsible in driving exceptional results with each District Manager, focusing on financial success through proper budgeting, planning, scheduling, expense control and P&L management. Essential Responsibilities:
- Builds high performing teams by effectively developing and calibrating talent at all levels
- Retains high performing teams through maintaining a culture or inclusion, fairness, and engagement with all members of their team
- Develops Regional Talent and District Managers through coaching and mentorship; ensures leaders develop talent though coaching and mentorship
- Acts as a change leader with the ability to accept and influence adoption of company initiatives at all levels within the organization
- Ensures the region is properly staffed at all times and delivers exceptional service
- Drives safety, compliance, and ethical conduct at all levels of their organization
- Delivers operational excellence, organizational effectiveness, and financial (EBITDA) commitments by effectively managing all aspects of the region’s P&L
- Drives exceptional financial results through engaged planning, expense oversight, overtime control, and P&L management and review.
- Seeks new business opportunities and drives profit growth through increased customer engagement and satisfaction
- Maintains exceptional relationships with all Customers serviced by the Region and ensures all concerns and accolades be addressed immediately.
- Grows bench strength for Area Managers, District Managers, Regional Talent Managers and District Talent Managers through leadership development, engagement, coaching and mentorship
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master Degree Preferred. An equivalent combination of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Must reside within their geographic area of responsibility
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in managing multi-store or multi-zone operations
- Demonstrated history of building and leading high performing teams as a leader of leaders
- Proven track record of strong business acumen, fiscal responsibility and P&L management
- Strong understanding of managing profit & loss and controlling the levers that affect P&L
- Proven track record of identifying talent, developing people, and building strong bench strength
- Effective customer relations skills meant to deliver exceptional service and the ability to act quickly to solve concerns or challenges as they arise.
- Ability to work varied, non-traditional hours, including early morning or late night, as well as flexible schedules.
- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment investigative consumer report, pre-employment drug screening and/or MVR check
- A valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and/or meeting the Fleet driver requirements may be required depending on the District or Region needs
Working Conditions:
This position requires frequent travel via automobile and air and the ability to adapt to changing working conditions, such as standing and sitting for long periods of time, as well as frequent walking.
