Regional Workplace Safety Manager
Compensation: $75,000 - 90,000 Annually
The Regional Workplace Safety Manager serves as the regional safety leader, partnering with operations to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. This role provides guidance on workplace safety, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement while supporting employees, drivers, independent contractors, and terminal leadership across the assigned region.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA), Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and other applicable regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain regional safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Deliver regulatory and company-required safety training to employees, drivers, and independent contractors.
- Partner with terminal leadership to identify risks, improve safety performance, and foster a proactive safety culture.
- Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits, and accident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare reports for leadership.
- Support regulatory inspections and maintain accurate safety documentation.
- Stay current on industry regulations and best practices through ongoing professional development.
- All other duties as assigned to meet evolving business needs.
Qualifications
- Experience in workplace safety within transportation, logistics, or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA, CSA, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
- Experience conducting accident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading, training, and developing employees to promote a strong culture of workplace safety.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned region.
- Flexible schedule to support operational needs.
