Registered Nurse - Heart Failure Disease Management

Job Description

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - 1 year of nursing recent experience caring for cardiac patients in an acute care or ambulatory setting with working knowledge of diuretics and electrolytes in the Heart Failure population. - This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations. PREFERRED QUALIFICATION - Proficiency with IV initiation and IV push medications. - Experience in caring for Advanced Heart Failure patients - Proficiency with Epic electronic health record - Ability to multitask and easily float between clinic responsibilities - BSN REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS - Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. - Current healthcare provider CPR certification -
