Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Description

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications - One year of recent adult RN experience (within the past 5 years) in a high-acuity, high volume, inpatient, surgical Pre-Op/PACU setting. - Two years of full-time adult ICU experience within the past 5 years - Requires On-Call commitment - Knowledge of airway management, anesthesia recovery, and pain management - Must be able to bend, pull and push up to 20lbs. - This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations. Preferred Qualifications - CPAN or CCRN certification - BSN REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS - Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. - Current healthcare provider CPR certification - Current healthcare provider ACLS certification - Current healthcare provider PALS certification
